We need the help of every Mainer who understands how important it is to preserve traditional man/woman marriage in our state and prevent the legalization of same-sex marriage can help in that effort in some way.
The most important thing you can do is to let your elected officials know in the strongest possible terms that you are opposed to legalizing same-sex marriage and urge them to vote against it. There are two ways we are asking you to help.
First, please contact you own legislators. We make it easy for you do this. Click on this link and simply enter your address to determine who your elected officials are and send them a suggested message with just a click of your mouse.
Second, regardless of where you live in Maine, we are asking that you contact all of the members of the Judiciary Committee that will be acting on this bill. We make it easy for you to send a suggested email message to all of them with just the click of your mouse. Click here.
Everyone can also help defend marriage by staying informed themselves and help others understand the threats to our future and the harm to society that would result from legalizing same-sex marriage. You can easily do that by signing up below for our periodic e-mail updates and action alerts.
Finally, you can help by spreading the word and encouraging others to come to this Web site and become better informed themselves. Easy ways to do this are to send this link, www.marriagefactsmaine.org on to them directly or enter their e-mail addresses below to send them the suggested invitation we provide. They will receive the invitation directly from you. Their e-mail addresses are not retained in our database and are not used for any other purpose.
